A welcome note from ...

First, I am glad that you found this site.

Beginning a counseling process is a big step - often inspired by difficulty with life that is beyond our ability to cope - and frequently accompanied by a sense of feeling overwhelmed or defeated. The good news is that there is a great deal that can be done to ease or eliminate the difficulty. In your defense - generally speaking - the perspecives, techniques and understandings necessary to live a strong, peaceful and content life are not taught in school, church or our families of origin - so where would you have learned them?

The good news is that this information is available, and it is is POWERFUL. I have used these techniques and perspectives in my own life and with clients for the last 25 years. I am here to tell you that - when done properly - this work can make the difference between a discontent, even painful life and a life that is happy, content and fulfilled. I've personally experienced both; many of my clients have as well.

The most imortant thing at this point is that you've summoned the strength, courage and humility to begin looking for help. Our inital job is to make this process - entering a counseling relationship - as easy and as productive as possible for you so the effort and money that you invest pays off in as big a way as possible ... as soon as possible.

I also know that this is a VERY big step. How can you know if the counselor is right for you? A lot of money can be wasted finding the right counselor. To that end, I offer a no-risk initial consultation. If you walk out feeling like we didn't "mesh", or I "don't get it", or that you didn't get any value from the session ... there will be no charge for the session.

I hope I get a chance to work with you.
